In Odoo, you can set up automatic creation of a manufacturing order when a sales order is received. This is useful for companies that produce products on customer demand or do not store finished goods in stock.
1. Activation of routes functionality
1.1. Go to the 'Settings' module:
1.2. In the 'Inventory' section, check the boxes next to 'Storage Locations' and 'Multi-Step Routes':
2. Setting up routes for automation
2.1. Go to the 'Inventory' module» - 'Settings' - 'Routes':
2.2. Click the 'Filters' button - 'Archived':
2.3. Here you need to find the route 'Replenish Order (WH)' and unarchive it:
3. Product setup
3.1. Open the product card for which an automatic order to the supplier should be created. Go to the 'Inventory' section. In the 'Routes' section, check the boxes next to 'Manufacturing' and 'Replenish Order':
4. Check the settings made
Create a sales order for the configured product. Upon its confirmation, a manufacturing order should automatically be generated in draft status:
