The calculation of the cost of a product depends on the settings of the category to which it belongs:
If in the category settings, in the "Stock Valuation" line, it says "Manual", then automatic cost calculation is disabled for these products!
Here you need to switch to the "Automatic" option and then select the cost calculation method itself:
- - standard price (the cost price is specified manually by the user in the product card; this amount will be entered into the postings)
- - FIFO (cost calculation will be done automatically with the assumption that the goods are used in the sequence in which they arrived at the enterprise)
- - AVCO (automatic calculation of average inventory cost)
You will also need to specify the accounting accounts that will be used for accounting in the settings.
Please note that if you have several companies in your database, the product category is set up separately for each company:
Important: There may be a situation where when entering the category card, the user does not see the inventory valuation settings:
This means that the user has limited access rights to cost calculation settings.
To add these rights:
1. Enable developer mode ( "Settings" module - "Activate developer mode"):
2. Go to user settings:
3. Open the user card and check the box "Automatic inventory accounting":
4. Disable developer mode ( "Settings" module - "Deactivate developer mode"):
